Krishan Chandra Pandey, a constable who was not in his police uniform claims that he had tried his best to stop a brawl but was caught up in the middle of the ruckus. He says that not only was he beaten up but was put inside the lock-up  by Officer in Charge of Aliganj police station. Pandey says that despite pleading them to leave him as he was only trying to stop the fight as a responsible policemen was manhandled and beaten up mercilessly by the police officials of Aliganj police station.
