Proposal Underway For Medicine Price Control

The Health Ministry is in the early stages of preparing a proposal to control the prices of medicine. This will be done through the Price Control and Anti-Profiteering Act in collaboration with the Ministry of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs. Its Minister Datuk Seri Dr Dzulkefly Ahmad said among the proposed price control mechanism is to determine the ceiling price for consumers at all dispensaries in line with best international practice standards.
