http://www.TravelsWithSheila.com Yeak Laom Volcanic Lake is a short drive from Terres Rouge Louge, a picturesque place surrounded by pristine rainforest. Due to the lake depth of 48 meters/157 feet, water is exceptionally clean and crystal clear. The lake is almost perfectly round. We take a 45 minute walk around the lake and happened upon two Toumpoun minority men who, unknowingly, showed perfect examples how hill tribe people live off the land. Yeak Laom Lake also happens to have one of the best, if not only, place to do a little "hunting and gathering" of souvenirs; remember that!
