(855) 877-2707 [email protected] Its endlessly appealing form, with a sharp, rectangular grille, long hood and sloping windshield, serves as a reminder that Cadillac equipped its cars with plenty of vintage charm reminiscent of an earlier age well into the mid-'80s. This 1985 Cadillac Eldorado Commemorative Edition is not only a looker of the first order, it's also unusually rare - there were only about 200 of its kind built, so there's bona fide collectability on hand here. Over the years, Cadillac used its Eldorado nameplate as a sort of proving ground to show what its design team could do in terms of style, and there's an abundance of it on hand here. Eldorados had always been a big part of Cadillac's success over the years and, since '85 marked the last year of the model's eighth generation, its manufacturer marked the occasion by offering the Commemorative Package, whose styling cues are in full effect here. Check out the seriously cool gold tone script emblems on the front grille and deck lid, as well as the gold hood ornament. The Cotillion white paint draped over the exterior has a nice shine to it, and the pinstripes coming by way of this Caddy's special edition status add yet more flair to the mix. Size-wise, the car strikes a nice balance - it's considerably more agile and maneuverable than many of its predecessors and yet still features an appreciable wheelbase which, combined with its lengthy hood, offers an effective callback to those earlier models. It's also got a very road-ready look to it, as its body alignment is very solid, and the glass on all four sides of the cabin is nice and clear...
