Narelle is the newest cyclone of the southern hemisphere, and could prove to be a threat to the western extreme of Australia in a few days time. Narelle is almost poised to become a ferocious storm indeed, with a small possibility of reaching Category 5 status shortly before its closest approach to western Australia.
