Programmed with RobotC. Search algorithm can probably be greatly improved, but before this class i had no experience programming in C. This is a nearly complete version of the robot. It's missing a front bumper sensor for obstacle detection. This was programmed for my final project. The class is Cognitive Robotics at University of California, Irvine. Due to the Psychology influence of the project, our goal of the lab was to program a "simple organism" that would autonomously avoid obstacles, and be attracted to a light source. Accuracy could be increased by adding blinders to the sensor, and using a bright bare bulb (360 degree illumination) rather than a relatively narrow bike light.
