Russia's Defense Ministry says a Russian air strike killed 49 Nusra Front militants including seven of its field commanders in Syria's Idlib province. Last year, Nusra Front claimed to have severed ties with al Qaeda last year and rebranded itself to head the extremist Hayat Tahrir al-Sham alliance. Russia says its airstrikes critically injured a leader of the militant group, Abu Mohamad al-Golani, who was now reported to be in a coma.
