http://www.TravelsWithSheila.com Another walking route includes the churches of Annecy and Chateau protected by a portcullis with a massive Queen's Tower that goes back to the 12th century. The castle was built by the Counts of Geneva and is now an exhibition venue. Down the steep lanes to the Quai Perriere where one entered Annecy from Italy and a little more Church exploration. There was still an abundance of sights that we either didn't have time to see or missed. You can just park yourself on the beach if sights doesn't interest you but whatever you choose, don't omit Annecy from your itinerary.
