Highlighting Cape Breton's beautiful seascapes, the Cabot Trail is one of the world's most beautiful scenic drives. It is a 297 km loop (185 mi) around the northern part of Cape Breton. It skirts along the cliffs of the Gulf of St. Lawrence one one side and the Atlantic Ocean on the other.

Enjoy stops along the way at charming craft shops and restaurants. This route showcases the best of Cape Breton and is famous for its quaint roadside towns and awe inspiring vistas.

We traveled north along the east coast Cabot Trail scenic loop and south down the west coast of the trail. In an upcoming video we travel it the opposite way and it gives you a different perspective.
