The rechargeable batteries sometimes leaked on these causing damage to the pc board. This model was my first programmable scanner back in 1985. The hours I spent listening to police, fire, and ham radio! I learned a lot about two way radio in the process. It was good training for the ham radio which would come later. I also remember Thumbing through the police call frequency book looking for interesting frequencies to listen to. Good memories.
