Since the first update at 11am UTC, Typhoon Vicente has rapidly intensified from a Category 1 storm to a Category 4 storm, and is close to making landfall on the southern Chinese coastline, not far from Macau. The storm is predicted to weaken to a tropical storm as it moves inland.
