Catalonia's president said his region would declare independence from Spain in a matter of days. This came shortly after Spain's King Felipe said Sunday's independence referendum was illegal. Earlier, tens of thousands protested in Barcelona and other Catalan cities. Local workers walked out of their jobs as part of a general strike, as they were angry with Madrid's response to the weekend vote. Spanish police broke into polling stations, blocked many from casting their ballots, and clashed with voters. More than 800 were injured in the violence. CGTN's Dan Williams reports from Barcelona.
