A daredevil scales a 675m rope to set a new waterline world record in recently released footage of the stunning achievement.

Adventurers Lucas Milliard, Anthony Newton and Pablo Signoret were part of a group including Vinicius Cauhy Rodrigues, Julian Mittermaier, Mia Noblet and Nathan Paulin which snagged the record on a wire above Wanfo Lake in Anhui province, China.

The record attempt was created by SDD Slackline, Slackline China and Huway Outdoor MATE for the International China Water Slackline Masters.

The awesome attempt, filmed by Quentin Sixdeniers on a drone, took place in 2017 but Quentin only recently released the video of the event.

Quentin, who shares his video online through @lessixpatates, said: “I was sitting on the roof of the temple that can be seen in the video.

“It was very stunning to be on this place filming some of the best slackliners of the world with so many nationalities.”
