Driving the Mojave Desert Palm Springs California to Las Vegas Nevada Wind Turbines Joshua Trees
We are driving in the Mojave Desert Palm Springs California to Las Vegas Nevada past Wind Turbines and Joshua Trees. If you have ever driven from Los Angeles to the Palm Springs area, you have seen this sight. Wind Turbines just west of Palm Springs are visable on both sides of highway 10. The Mojave Deseert surrounds you on the way to Las Vegas just past 29 Palms when you come upon Kelso a town halfway to Las Vegas which has a lot of railway activity coutesy of the Union Pacific Railway.

Leaving Kelso you go up in elevation through the dips that sometimes makes your car hit bottom, and you then reach the Joshua Trees.

These majestic desert dwellers only grow in certain spots usually in higher elevations and they gobble up any and all moister nature can provide them.
