Alcohol is a depressant and its effect on the human mind is cumulative. This means that the more you drink the stronger the depressive action of the poison becomes. So it is literally impossible for alcohol to make people happy. This is of course may be difficult to believe because you will have witnessed many drunken parties that were great fun and everyone seemed extremely happy. Let me assure you that that the joy you observed was nothing to do with the consumption of alcohol. I am certain you will have also attended parties that were dull and boring, and yet they also had plenty of alcohol available. It is not possible for alcohol to change its effect; alcohol is not some NASA designed smart chemical that can alter its makeup on demand. Alcohol is simply the by-product of rotting and decomposing vegetable matter. It is a waste product and nothing more complex or advanced than that. Laughing gas (nitrous oxide) makes people laugh; it does this consistently every time it is inhaled. It doesn’t suddenly decide to make some people burp and other people do jumping jacks. The chemical effect of the gas has a certain predictable effect on the human body and that is a constant. If alcohol really has the side-effect of euphoria and happiness then this surely must apply to every application of the drug. Boring parties should be able to be turned into carnivals of fun and frivolity by the pouring of just a few shots of tequila. But we have all witnessed this not to be the case. Also if alcohol really does have the power to lift mood, why don’t hospitals and doctors prescribe it for the poor people who present with clinical depression and other such mental disorders? Essentially you have to see that alcohol is a simple chemical, not a chameleon. What is does to the human body is completely predictable. When you take a pain killer it dulls your headache or soar throat. You don’t worry that it might one day do something entirely different. I am currently on a speaking tour and I am writing this from the comfort of my hotel room in Trafalgar Square, London. This morning I took a stroll through the already busy streets of the city and as I meandered through the speed walking commuters on their way to offices throughout central London I must have passed perhaps a dozen homeless people. A depressing and recurring theme, they were all individually huddled in sleeping bags and wedged against the air-conditioning outlet vents outside stores and offices. They lay soaking up the waste heat being pumped out into the cold October London air. Discarded by their makeshift beds are empty half bottles of spirits and crumpled cans of super strength lager. These people are so trapped in the cycle of alcohol addiction they are now only living to drink. But something is wrong, drinkers insist that alcohol makes a part go with a swing; alcohol makes people who would otherwise be boring becoming fun and happy. Yet I didn’t see one homeless person that didn’t look anything other than completely destroyed and hopeless. Some looked like they had given up on life, others just looked blank and expressionless but absolutely none of them looked happy! https://www.stopdrinkingexpert.com
