2008 Honda Pilot Front Brakes after Firestone Service Hi Everyone: The customer complained to Firestone Complete Auto Care that her brakes were making noise and not functioning properly after they replaced them. The customer informed me the service adviser told her to bring it back and they would do a free upgrade for her, when she picked up her vehicle she still had the same problem. She asked me to drive her vehicle and give her a second opinion. I'm so glad she did! As you can clearly see the brake pads were not installed correctly and the guide pins were sticking in the caliper housing causing the brakes to stay on all the time. By the brakes staying on all the time they will make noise, fade and overheat the brake fluid which decreases stopping power also. In closing this was a dangerous situation for this Consumer and her Family.
