Day 14 in the Atlantic, Day 32 in the Eastern Pacific
What's left of Yagi is still churning up the waters to the south of Japan, and has remained almost stationary for the past day, with a slight westerly and southerly movement. The storm continues to deliver rains over Japan, but the threat of flooding has mostly subsided, with only a single prefecture retaining rain advisories at the moment.
Invest 99W has moved north, towards the Chinese coastline, and now has a medium chance of development. Computer models indicate that this disturbance could develop into a weak tropical cyclone before making landfall in China, Vietnam, or the Chinese island of Hainan.
