The Hill of Crosses is located near Siauliani and it is estimated that over 50,000 crosses and rosaries stand on a small hill. The Germans and Russians bulldozed the site many times trying to stamp out religion but the crosses kept reappearing. Erected in memory of those exiled to Siberia, killed by the Russians and Nazis and those who died in the name of freedom in Poland and other countries.
