Mineral makeup can provide you with lightweight and humidity-resistant coverage throughout the day. But, you need to be careful to apply it correctly to avoid a thick, clumpy look.

Step 1: Wash your face
Wash your face, and apply your moisturizer. Let the moisturizer dry completely, or use a tissue to pat it dry.

Tip
Use a moisturizer with SPF coverage to provide protection against sun damage.

Step 2: Dip brush into powder
Shake a bit of mineral makeup powder into the lid of its container. Dip your brush into the powder in the lid. Tap off the excess.

Step 3: Swirl brush
Gently swirl the brush against the back of your hand to work the powder into the bristles.

Step 4: Apply from the edge in
Begin applying the mineral powder to your face starting around your temple. Apply in small, tight circles, moving in toward your nose. Repeat on the other side of your face.

Tip
Avoid applying mineral powder under your eyes. Instead, apply concealer to this area after you have finished applying your mineral powder.

Step 5: Apply more powder
Continue applying powder by brushing the makeup across your forehead, nose, chin, and jaw line.

Tip
Cover blemishes by dipping a small brush in the mineral makeup, tapping off the excess, then tapping the brush over the blemish only.

Step 6: Brush again
Brush again over any areas where you want more coverage, but don't re-dip your makeup brush in the powder. Smooth any areas where coverage seems uneven with blotter paper, and enjoy your fresh, clean foundation.
