Sen Engineering exhibited the PL16-110 ultraviolet cleaning and modification tester at the 2009 International Automotive Electronics Technology Expo.
This device tests the effectiveness of modification and dry cleaning of a solid surface using short wavelength ultraviolet light. The tester uses a nominal 110W synthetic silica glass type surface light source that is 160mm on each side, and the distance between the light source and the sample can be freely adjusted using a customized lab jack on which the sample is placed. A single door is located on the front of the device and provides a wide opening that makes it easy to insert and remove samples, and the sample being irradiated can be observed through an observation window made of glass that filters out UV rays.
The compact power supply comes with a timer and is separate from the tester, so the equipment can be easily transported and used anywhere and can be used to benefit all types of industrial applications.
