The Greenway Networks sponsored Race for the Rivers was held Aug. 29 and 30 along the Missouri River. The starting line for this year's race was at the Washington riverfront. The Missourian caught up with organizer Jim Burrus, marshal for Washington start of the race, who explains what the race entails. Money raised from the event goes to help clean rivers.
