Around 400 thousand applications for student financial assistance has been received by the National Student Financial Aid Scheme, for 2019. Higher Education and Training minister, Naledi Pandor says following the various challenges faced by NSFAS this year-2018. This round of applications have gone off well. A range of issues contributed to NSFAS' past challenges. These include backlogs, non payment or payment delays, unreliable data, and what can only be described as weak communication.
