Wolfgang Ambros Austria’s renowned pop star has enlightened us with another one of his compositions.

The song is about a man who is unsuccessful in his job and then turns to alcohol. He finally ends up in rehab and is financially supported by his wife.

A genuinely touching story sung by Wolfgang Ambros in his native Austrian ( Viennese ) dialect. Another one of Wolfgang Ambros favorites.

‘They were married very young, and never had enough money,
their luck was programmed to fail.

His company dismissed him, and he starts to turn to Alcohol,
it looks like this isn’t going to work out.

And she tells him, I won’t be watching how he fails,
and I will be out of the door, you shall see.

She moves to her parents and starts a new life.
He starts rehab to find a cure for his drinking problem.

And he writes her letters from there,
tells her he misses her a lot.

She believes him, and she sends him the money straight away.

And so he does not rest a minute,
and drives straight to see her.

As fast as he can, he drives, until he stands in front of her door.

He arrives on a Sunday, and he feels pain all over,

He almost wants to turn back and thinks about what he should do.

And he is shaking all over, from his hands to his knees,
as he stands in front of her door with a few roses.
