Just after midnight Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office received a call for a burglar alarm at Tractor Supply at FM 1314 and I-69 in Porter. First units arrived on the scene spotted a Ford F150 pickup leaving with a yard trailer in the bed of the truck and a white male. The unit attempted to stop the vehicle which went under I-69 and went southbound on the feeder. The truck then entered the freeway. A pursuit was initiated as they traveled south on I-69 at speeds of close to 70 mph. As units approached Beltway 8 DPS and Harris County Sheriff’s Office units became involved in the pursuit. The truck exited at Lauder Road then went west on Hopper where he was stopped and taken into custody. Deputies found two different yard carts in the bed of the truck along with a suspect. Another fell off the truck as the white male driver from Harris County left Tractor Supply. The males were transported to the Montgomery County Jail. Also in the bed of the truck deputies found bolt cutters believed to have been used to cut the security cables on the equipment stolen.
