Labourer Gets Six Months Jail For Insulting Dead Cops

In Pahang, a 27-year-old man was sentenced to six months in jail for posting an offensive comment on Facebook over an accident which claimed the lives of two policemen last Tuesday.



The accused, Mohd Hannan Ibrahim pleaded guilty at the Kuantan Sessions Court today. He was charged under the Communications and Multimedia Act 1998, which carries a fine of up to RM50,000 ringgit, or a year’s jail or both as well as a RM1,000 fine for repetitive offence.
