It operates as train number 12497 from New Delhi to Amritsar Junction and as train number 12498 in the reverse direction serving the states of Delhi, Haryana & Punjab. The name Shan-e-Punjab Express translates as the Pride of Punjab. The Sachkhand Express is operated by Indian Railways daily between the Cities of Huzur Sahib Nanded in Maharashtra to Amritsar in Punjab. This train thus links two famous Sikh shrines. The train is named after Sachkhand Sahib Gurudwara situated in Nanded. This train also links the National Capital of India, New Delhi as well as the state capital of Madhya Pradesh, Bhopal to Nanded, Parbhani, Jalna and Aurangabad of Marathwada Region of Maharashtra.
