Rinpoche started by translating and giving commentary of a quote from Khunu Lama Rinpoche: Bodhichitta is the best stability of mind, what benefits most to sentient beings, without anyone left out. Then Rinpoche explained that Buddha practiced the 6 paramitas for 3 countless great eons, this is because of bodhichitta to every sentient being, including us. We have to connect, relate it to yourself, Buddha completed the merits of wisdom and merits of virtue for you, taught the 84,000 teachings for you. Feel the kindness of the Buddha. Otherwise Buddha is there but has nothing to do with you. Rinpoche said if you don’t practice dharma, don’t meditate on the path, actualize the path, there is no end to your samsara. Have to remember this otherwise our life is so much in laziness, sense distraction. For a bodhisattva, there is no self-cherishing thought, not even one second. For a bodhisattva, the most excitement, most pleasure is to be born in hell to protect even one sentient being. That is really the best Dharma practice. There is danger that what we do doesn’t even become Dharma, because it is all done with attachment to this life. so becomes the cause of the lower realms. Rinpoche explained about the 4 remedy powers, and explained in depth that whatever we experience every day, comes from your mind, all the problems. Otherwise we complain, thinking all problems comes from outside. Rinpoche reminded is that instead of cherishing I, which is only one among numberless sentient beings, if you change your mind and cherish others. As the Kadampa Geshes say: I is the root of suffering; therefore, it is a phenomenon you immediately cast out. The others are originator of your enlightenment, that you immediately you cherish. Then with that thought, with body, speech and mind, serve. Rinpoche gave a partial oral transmission in English of “Hundred Advices of Padampa Sangye”.
