Currently, there is no good commercial mold for a bullet suitable to the 300 Blackout at full jacketed velocities (2000-2300 FPS).

The bullet needs to have a cylindrical portion inside the case, for adequate neck support. Therefore gas check grooves or conventional grease grooves are a problem. Tumble lube grooves are actually a plus since they support concentricity while reducing swaging force. The nose profile needs to be long enough to feed well and not be a shape which can mimic the shoulder of a .223/556 case. (Some profiles can allow a 300 BO to chamber in a 556 rifle causing a very dangerous condition.) The parent mold is not as pointy a profile as I could want, however too fine a point tends to distort under acceleration. This should be a reasonably good compromise bullet, and a good match to the new CFE BLK powder, which gives high velocities at comparatively low pressures.
