Heavy snow remains likely for large parts of Central and Eastern England, with snow likely to fall from the Scottish Highlands to Greater London, and all stops in between at some point over the next two or three days. Scotland will receive snow on the mountains and parts of the eastern Borders, with rain and sleet for western coasts. Northern Ireland will see rain predominantly, at times possibly mixed with sleet, but little if any snow accumilation is expected. The Republic of Ireland will also see rain initially, clearing over the next few days and warming up slightly. Wales, the westcountry and the English south coast will see rain, heavy at times, over the next few days. The North west and West Midlands will see snow initially, turning into sleet and eventually rain for low levels, snow will remain for higher ground and roads may become unpassable. The northeast of England will see snow, heavy at times, with possible disruption, particularly in Yorkshire. Eastern parts of England, particularly Lincolnshire down to East Anglia, will see heavy snow and these areas hold the biggest cause for concern, with major road and rail routes potentially becoming blocked for a time. http://www.force-13.com/bforecast.html Weather forecasting for the British Isles every Monday to Friday.
