Venture Craft exhibited the Paparazzi DUAL GIG drive recorder at the Tokyo Auto Salon 2009 show held at the Makuhari Messe convention center.
This drive recorder can be easily mounted to the windscreen of a vehicle with a one-touch operation, and the direction of the camera can be easily adjusted. All you have to do is plug the power cable into the cigarette lighter, and if an accident occurs, the recorder accurately records and saves a total of 20 seconds of wide angle video footage of the scene in front of the driver.
The operability of this drive recorder was improved by adopting a large switch, and by using a SD memory card for storage, the video data can be easily checked by transferring the data to a computer where it can also be easily viewed and saved. Because of these features, the drive recorder has been well received by freight carriers as a means of providing valuable evidence that can be used when investigating the cause of accidents.
