A section of Rift valley MPs have asked Agriculture Cabinet secretary Mwangi Kiunjuri to intervene and ensure that maize farmers can  get better prices for their produce. Nandi Hills, Member of parliament Alfred Keter and his Moiben counterpart Silas Tiren said  cartels in the Agriculture sector are trying to  block the government from raising maize  prices which remain low even as the cost of production keeps rising.
