Even Monsters need a drink of water... Creature & Make-up Effects for the film, THE OSIRIS CHILD : SCIENCE FICTION VOLUME ONE. The performers in the suits needed "straw extensions" so we could get water to them through the mouth and down the long necks of the Ragged's... They were constantly "slimed" up during the shoot using "Ultra-Slime" and "Ultra-Wet. The "Ragged" creature sculptures were created in plasticine, epoxy moulds, foam latex skins, animatronic facial movement. All the foam latex skins were airbrushed and hand painted. Creature body suits were constructed out of various density foams. The skin-like covering was created from plastic paint drop-sheets that were heated and formed into shape.
