To soften the blow, Hitachi Chemical is developing their new shock absorbing adhesive to help prevent damage to your flat panel displays.  This sheet is inserted between the LCD monitor and the protective outer screen and can range from 25 to 500 micrometers thick depending on the size of the screen.  The adhesive sheet can protect LCD TVs, Mobile displays and Plasma Screens and doesn't distort the polarized light or images on the display.
