The Czech government has approved a framework agreement with the United States on hosting a U.S. radar installation that would be part of a European-based missile-defense system. The agreement is to be submitted to the Czech parliament for ratification by the end of 2008, but its success is not assured. Meanwhile, about 70 percent of Czech voters remains opposed to hosting the radar base on Czech soil.

Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty produced this video in June 2007 on the Czech public's response to the proposed radar installation.
