There is growing concern about health risks posed by the non-collection of garbage in the Princes Town Regional Corporation as burgesses prepare for Christmas the rubbish has been piling up. The Princess Town Regional Corporation says it is using its own dump trucks to collect garbage in the area until a more permanent solution can be implemented. Chairman of the Corporation Gowrie Roopnarine is now calling on the Minister of Local Government and Rural Development to intervene as he said the Corporation's hands are tied. He said the garbage collectors are not doing their job as they are on strike after not being paid.
