While on the snapshot test server I play around on I was talking with RedstoneMiku on there and just before I was going to head off to bed she mentioned something about analog/hexadecimal memory cells so I tried building one quick before I headed off to sleep and this is what I came up with. It is simply a vertical arrangement of two comparators feeding each other with no signal loss, coupled with an erase function (subtractor) and a write and read input. Apart from hexadecimal computers, these can be used for storing analog values from chests and such to make a simple alarm type system to detect if someone took some things from a chest by comparing the saved value to the current value. ( The neat thing about it is that it's not the easiest to disarm since just breaking the comparator or wire behind the chest would also trigger the alarm. ) RedstoneMiku: http://www.youtube.com/user/redstonemiku
