One hour later, we still weren't at the top of the viewing area. Off the bus, show passports again and climb aboard the gondola. The gondola deliberately moves at a snail's pace (and that's being kind) to allow plenty of time for photographs and video of the dingy, grey glacier tongue. It is possible to walk from the bus stop onto the glacier with its boulders and crevasses but allow plenty of time.
