Here's another transcribed Tres Cubano tune. This time it's 'Sabroso' as played by one of my all-time favorite Treseros; Fernando Dewar of Septeto Santiaguero. The song is from their most recent album 'No-Quiero Llanto' released this year on the Los Canarios label.

I've been playing Sabroso for years, but I really like what Dewar (and Septeto Santiaguero) have done with it. It's a very simple tune, more or less just two chords; Cm and G7 throughout. They have really given it a modern slant, and Dewar's solo is quite unexpected, yet well structured as usual.

Dewar tunes to C, so here I am as well. In the video I am playing my latest Baby Taylor Tres, for more on that click here:

The string gauges I'm using are:
G11/25 C17/17 E12/12

I transcribe all of the songs for my tutorials myself so I don't have the tablature for any of them.

The song at the end of the video is the classic tune ‘El Reloj De Pastora’ played by the incredible ‘Septeto Trio Los Dos’ who have graciously given me permission to use.

I make and sell Tres Cubano Conversion Kits for Baby Taylor Guitars. The kit can be installed in under 30 minutes with no luthier experience required. They cost $200 (USD) with free shipping worldwide.
You supply the Baby Taylor and I send you everything you need to turn it into a great sounding Cuban Tres.
