It has been snowing quite a bit on and off these days so keeping the solar panels clean is a daily task.

I also had to clear off the solar panels for the electronics lab because I did not clean them the other day when we had the freezing rain. I had to carefully use an ice scraper to clear off most of the ice. I am hoping the sun will do the rest.

Out in the yard I am cutting the fire wood that was too long for our wood stove. This is the wood that was brought to us this fall. I had sorted out the longer logs onto a pile to be processed later on.

I have a chainsaw sawbuck which helps me hold the logs in place while I cut them. It is working out quite well. This is dry, cured wood so it is ready to burn in our tiny house.

I hauled up a wheel barrow load of the wood that I had cut. We will grab what we need for heat out of this. Later it showed about two inches of fluff on top of my fire wood.

On the tiny house wood stove I have deer fat rendering down into oil which I plan to use for making soap. This is taking a while though but the heat is free and already there so I will let it cook down.

Little Michelle is copying her mother these days and trying to help out with cleaning the house.
