DigInfo - http://movie.diginfo.tv - The unique feature of this film is that it can not only recognize where pressure is applied but it can also measure the pressure distribution across the entire surface. It works by having a layer of microcapsules which when pressure is applied, break and react with the color-developing material. Although the Prescale film itself is not new, they have recently expanded the range of pressure that can be read by the film from .2 to 300MPa. They have also developed analysis software which can analyze the film and give various readings.
