Leaders from Isiolo, Samburu, Marsabit meet to address highway banditry

A cross section of leaders from, Samburu, Marsabit and Isiolo Counties convened a meeting to address the worrying increase in cases of highway banditry along the Isiolo-Marsabit highway and renewed cattle rustling incidents aimed at containing the situation ahead of the upcoming Christmas festivities. The development arm of the Catholic Church popularly known as ‘Caritas’ through the Dioceses of Isiolo, Maralal and Marsabit called for an inter-county security meeting at Sere Olipi to deliberate on ways of solving the perennial insecurity menace.
