Nice continuous lightning and soft rolling thunder with this 7:30AM storm. Good quality sound. Turn up the volume! This storm complex was associated with the leading edge of an elevated mixed layer (EML) associated with a warm front moving north out of Iowa and Illinois. It produced quite a bit of pea sized hail and isolated nickle sized hail with the stronger updrafts. Most of the lightning was intracloud rather than CGs, leading to softer rolling thunder.
