Corel Painter have named me one of their 'Painter Masters' for 2015. I'm very honoured to accept the award! They've asked that I produce a short profile video to introduce myself and tell everyone what it is that I do! Enjoy the video (and remember, I'm not a professional actor at all).

To accompany the video, they asked me to describe my artistic style. I said: "I can't describe my style with a name, I've never tried to pin it down. It's something that's developed over the years. It's simply a mix of styles influenced from many different great visual references that I soak in every day. I live and breath fantasy and Sci-fi I love artists such as Drew Struzan, Chris Foss, Thomas Kinkade, Ralph Mcquarrie, Frank Frazetta, Adam Hughes as well as many others and perhaps they have influenced my artwork more than any other source. I want my work to look as realistic as possible but at the same time I don't agree that a painting should look like a photograph, otherwise what's the point in the painting. So, I strive for attention to detail and the telling of a story – possibly because of my love for novels and comic books or possibly because of my background in advertising and knowing the power a commercial image has to sell a product."
