A number of suspects are appearing in different Gauteng courts this morning for cash in transit-related crimes. This after police arrested 23 people, including a Tshwane Metro police over the weekend. The arrests follow operations by the high-density multi-disciplinary stabilisation team. The team is made up of members of Crime Intelligence, the Task Force, the Tracing team and National Intervention Unit and the Tactical Response teams. The first arrest took place on Friday. Acting on intelligence, police pounced on two suspects, a 32-year-old man and his girlfriend for the May Boksburg Cash In Transit robbery where two armored vehicles were targetted.
