http://www.TravelsWithSheila.com All activities at the Jungle Rafts Floatel cost extra with the exception of "drift swimming" down the River Kwai. We have gone for elephant rides in the past but I always find it a fun experience. Across the stream to the Mon Village where they have three elephants available for 1-hour elephant rides. This elephant seat was more comfortable than others in the past. One semi-tense moment when the elephant had to pick up his huge legs to cross over large branch in the path. Other than that, we just lumbered along, up hills, down hills and past the village's "Indiana Jones-style" Buddhist temple and statues.
