Nairobi governor Mike Sonko now says he has been funding the ongoing beautification of Nairobi's Central Business District is not funded by the county coffers but from his pocket. Sonko who appeared before the senate public accounts and investments committee told the senators that his philanthropic nature drove him to sink millions of his money into giving the city a new face arguing that Nairobi County was dear to his heart.
