Rita Wayword was an amazing Hollywood stuntwoman. Living her life on the edge, she was widely regarded as "Ricochet Rita". She had everything one could ask for; money, fame, luxury...she didn't think it could get any better.

That was when a man by the name of Longshot appeared.

When Rita first met Longshot, it was love at first sight. He was a stuntman just like her, and they shared many similar interests. Luckily Longshot had the same feelings for Rita as Rita had for him; they hit it off in no time.

Happy times were cut short, however, when the insane mutant warrior Spiral showed up to take Longshot back to their home. Not one to back down, Rita stood up against Spiral, and thanks to the efforts of her and a few friends, they drove Spiral off.

But the battle wasn't over yet; Mojo, the one who sent Spiral to Earth, came to Earth to capture Longshot himself, but he, too, failed, once again thanks to Rita and friends. Proud of his victory, Longshot decided to infiltrate Mojo's base and free his captured friends. Rita was happy to follow him wherever he went, and with her by his side, Longshot couldn't lose.

Or so they thought.

Well, Halloween is here, and doing a wacky non-creepy MUGEN fight seemed kinda wrong, so I decided to go this route, and do a non-wacky non-creepy MUGEN fight instead. :)


Ella is a good character through-and-through. She's a pretty old character though and has been in hundreds of YouTube vids before mine, so there's not much I can really say about her that others haven't already said. She's got neat moves, interesting combos, and some of the bloodiest supers this side of MUGEN.

So, I'll talk about Spiral instead.

She's a pretty (really) old character herself, but I haven't seen Spiral around much. This one is her version from X-Men: Children of the Atom.
The main thing: She's really fun to play with. In the right hands, she can be downright annoying.
Being able to teleport anywhere on the screen while flinging craploads of swords at her opponent, she can be hard to catch. Her launcher is good for setting up her command throw or multi-knife super, or if you really want to be a douche, her command grab super. Her damage output is so-so, but with swords everywhere it adds up as the match goes on. She's also very floaty.
Aside from her speed boost super, her boost supers overall aren't all that great. Using the invisibility  one will probably confuse you more than your opponent, since you'll be teleporting all over the place while not having a clue where you are. Can make for some fun times though.
No MUGEN character is without its problems, though. If you time it right, with Spiral's speed boost you can take off about 50% of the opponent's life with a simple standing X. Bleh.
Also, Luchini took out the powerbar requirement X-Men:COTA had in order to do her special moves. This can lead to spamming shenanigans with her swords, and with her super jump, she can teleport in the air forever against a character without a super jump of their own, and stall her way to victory. Meh.

All minor bumps in the road though.


And why the silly ending? Because I can. :P
