CINCINNATI (WKRC) -- A new app is a high-tech version of throwing your loose change in a jar and this one helps people save. The app, called "Acorns" deals with digital dollars. Every time a person shops online with a debit or credit card, Acorns rounds up the purchase to the nearest dollar. The change is invested into a portfolio of funds. There are several options depending on how comfortable a person is with risk. The designers say Acorns is an easy way to make regular contributions to a person's retirement fund.
