Colt Cabana Reveals Pro Wrestling’s Secret History in New Podcast Mini-Series

‘Colt Cabana’s Pro Wrestling Fringe’ uncovers the sport’s bizarre, legendary, and completely true stories in a style that appeals to more than just hardcore fans.

Professional wrestling insider Colt Cabana reinvents wrestling media and exposes new audiences to the sport with the release of the three-part podcast mini-series “Colt Cabana’s Pro Wrestling Fringe.” In this fascinating new series Cabana investigates the sport’s secret history, uncovering the bizarre, legendary, and completely true wrestling stories traded by wrestlers, but rarely heard outside the privacy of the locker room. Episode 1: A Giant Expectation – Pro wrestling is known for larger-than-life-figures, but the 7’7” Jorge “El Gigante” Gonzalez was a giant even among them. Colt and Rob Naylor tell the story of his brief and unusual career.

Episode 2: Black & White – In the 1950s, in racially segregated Memphis, Tennessee, Sputnik Monroe was a wrestling superstar. Colt and David Bixenspan discuss how Sputnik’s support of desegregation resonated throughout professional sports.

Episode 3: Hand Picked – Tom Magee, the Canadian champion powerlifter, looked like pro wrestling’s next big thing after a high-profile win against Bret Hart. However, as Colt and Dave Meltzer discover, looks can be deceiving.
