Asheville Humane Society Lowering Adoption Fees

ASHEVILLE, N.C. -- Organizers at the Asheville Humane Society are lowering adoption fees for all older cats and dogs, Wednesday and Thursday. The $5 adoption fee applies to all cats and dogs older than 6 months and includes spay/neuter, microchip, all up-to-date vaccines, one-month of pet health insurance, free starter bag of pet food and a free veterinary wellness visit. Organizers say they hope to have the animals adopted for the holidays. "The shelter is full of animals that need homes, and these are loving deserving animals that can bring a lot of joy and love to your life," Pamela Burgess, adoption services director said.
